Photo Pos Pro v4 - Copy & Paste

Photo Pos Pro has a lot of various copy and pasting options including paste from one photo to itself, to/from another photo or to/from another applications
Working around with copy & paste is very easy, the copy & paste interface is very user friendly and intuitive to use

Photo Pos Pro Copy & Paste commands can be access from three places (The commands are the same no matter where you access it from):
  1. The software Edit menu

    Copy and Paste (Edit Menu)

  2. The software upper shortcuts toolbar

  3. The pop up menu of the photo you are working on (right click on the photo you are working on to open it)

Copy Commands:
  • Edit -> Copy (Ctrl + C) - The basic copy command, clicking on Edit -> Copy menu will copy the selected layer(s) to Windows clipboard. If currently there is a selected area the software will copy the selected area from the currently selected layer(s) to Windows clipboard
  • Edit -> Copy Merged - The merged layers(s) copy command, clicking on Edit -> Copy Merged menu will copy the selected layer(s) merged (=flatten) to Windows clipboard. If currently there is a selected area the software will copy the selected area from the currently selected layer(s) merged (=flatten) to Windows clipboard. If no layer(s)/area is currently selected the entire "flat" image will be copied to windows clipboard
  • Edit -> Copy Object Properties - Use the commands under this menu is order to copy the active vectorial object properties such as styles and effects. Once copied you can later paste them into another vectorial object(s)
Cut Command:

Edit -> Cut (Ctrl + X) - The cut command works like the basic copy command (Edit -> Copy) but in addition to the copy it clears/deletes the source

Paste Commands:

Edit -> Paste - This sub-menu contains a number of commands which allow you to paste an image from the Windows Clipboard into the software in different variations
  • Paste As New Image (Ctrl + V) - This command creates a new photo, pasting into it the image saved from the (Windows) Clipboard
  • Paste Into Current Image (Ctrl + F) - This command pastes the image saved in the (Windows) Clipboard into the current photo as a new layer(s). Once pasted you can change the size, angle and location of it using the moving tool
  • Paste As Current Oject(s) Style/Effects - In case you copied some other object properties/style using this command you can paste it as another object(s) effects/style. This is very useful when you create a great effect/style for object and you wish to duplicate it to another object(s). This command is only available when a style/effects was previously copy to the clipboard using one of the Copy Object Properties commands
  • Paste As New Area Selection - This command creates a new selection area in the active picture. The command will paste only the selected mask as it was saved with the picture copied to the (Windows) Clipboard
  • Paste Into Cerrent Selected Area - This command pastes the content of the saved picture from the (Windows) Clipboard into the selected area in the active picture. This command is only available when an area on the active picture
How do I?
  1. Copy entire image?
    To copy the entire image first make sure that currently there is no selected area (if there is a selected area right click on the image and select "Select None" from the pop up menu in order to clean the selection). Next right click on the image and select "Copy Merged" from the pop up menu

  2. Copy some of the image layer(s)?
    To copy specific layer(s) first select the desired layer(s), you can select the desired layer(s) from the layers panel, to select more then one layer press and hold the Ctrl key while selecting the layers . Next right click on the image and select "Copy" from the pop up menu

  3. Copy specific area(s)?
    To copy specific area(s) first select them using one of the
    selection tools. You may use Smart Selections in order to select complex things as people, animals and etc. Next right click on the image and select "Copy Merged" from the pop up menu

  4. Copy from one photo to another?
    Open or go to the first (source) image and perform the desired copy action as shown on stages 1,2 or 3. Next open or go to the second (destination) image, right click on it and select "Paste Into Current Image" from the pop up menu. Once pasted into the second image you can change the size, angle and location of it using the moving tool

  5. Copy from one photo to itself?
    Open the image and perform the desired copy action as shown on stages 1,2 or 3. Next right click on the image and select "Paste Into Current Image" from the pop up menu. Once pasted into the same image you can change the size, angle and location of it using the moving tool
